FRMD7 can be responsible for periodic alternating nystagmus

Leicester-based research due to be published in Brain has shown that mutations in the FRMD7 gene can cause idiopathic periodic alternating nystagmus (PAN). The team suggest that PAN could be the result of unstable optokinetic and vestibular systems.
